An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Work Based Tutor in Animal Care to join the Apprenticeship and Skills Team at Myerscough College. An increased growth within apprenticeships has meant that we are now looking for a work based tutor who has the knowledge and skills to deliver the new apprenticeship Standards - Animal Care & Welfare Assistant. This is initially a fixed term post but with continual growth within this provision it could potentially lead to a permanent position.
It is envisaged that the successful applicant will have qualifications and a sound working knowledge in the animal care sector. The management and tutoring of apprentices who are studying to achieve the Animal Welfare Standard as well as Functional Skills in English and Maths, makes up a high percentage of the role, making it a varied and interesting role.
The successful candidate must have significant industry experience in a related subject at Level 3 or above, a teaching qualification e.g. CET’P, PTTLLS (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification within agreed time period as well as GCSE, (or equivalent), at Grade C or above in English and Maths.

Salary: £20,657 - £29,880 per annum relating to qualifications and experience
