StableYard Assistant – temporary - Maternity Cover- based at Preston Campus

The Equine department are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and skilled Stable Yard Assistant.  

Duties will include – Managing the wellbeing of all horses in college, schooling College owned and loan horses when required and assisting Instructors and Lecturers with equipment and supporting and supervising students during stable tasks/ duties during the week, weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.

Experience of having worked in a large commercial yard would be desirable.

The successful candidate will have a relevant BHS Stage 2, BHS Stage 3 Riding, or able to demonstrate riding to BHS Stage 3 level and experience of working with horses alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths. If you are interested in the role – please apply.
