Stable Yard Assistant - based at Preston Campus

The Equine department are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and skilled Stable Yard Assistant.
Duties will include – The supervision of students on all yards and supervising students during morning, evening and weekend practical duties. Ensuring the wellbeing of all horses in College and schooling College owned and loan horses when required. You will have sole responsibility of the yard when required. As well as assisting Practical Instructors and Lecturers with equipment.
This role will include weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota basis.
Experience of having worked in a large commercial yard would be desirable.
The successful candidate will have a relevant BHS Stage 2, BHS Stage 3 Riding, or able to demonstrate riding to BHS Stage 3 level and experience of working with horses alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths. If you are interested in the role – please apply.

The role is 39 hours worked over 7 days
The salary is National Living Wage in line with age.
