Sportsturf Technician - based at Preston campus

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sportsturf Team as a Sportsturf Technician.

As a Sportsturf Technician, you will provide high quality maintenance and development of the sports fields and associated areas.  You will operate relevant machinery and equipment safely and effectively with safe working practices observed at all times.

The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 in Greenkeeping or a National Certificate/Diploma qualification in a related subject along with a practical ability especially in relation to the use of machinery.  Candidates with an NVQ Level 2 in Greenkeeping with a minimum of 3 years experience in the industry and some additional qualifications, eg pesticide application certificate will also be considered.  You will also be required to have GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.

The salary is National Minimum Wage in line with age.
