Shepherd - based at Myerscough Farms - Preston Campus

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Myerscough Farms Team as a Shepherd.

As a Shepherd on the farm you will be responsible for the day to day management of the College flock and any other livestock or duties deputised to you which includes the management of a mixed indoor and outdoor lowland flock to achieve agreed KPI’s including all management and husbandry tasks, grazing and field management, machinery work, estate maintenance and student/staff management while in your supervision.

Essential for this role you will need suitably trained working dogs with the ability to manage them appropriately to aid with the work.

The successful candidate will have an appropriate Level 3 qualification in an appropriate subject or Craft Grade Certificate in agricultural discipline or evidence of suitable practical experience in an agricultural environment alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English.
