About the role

At Myerscough College we believe that every student deserves a nurturing and secure environment to thrive academically and personally, in this position you will play a vital business support role in ensuring the welfare and well-being of our students.

We are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced safeguarding and welfare officer to provide robust administrative support to the safeguarding and Student support Team. The post holder will be required to work with discretion and sensitivity due to the confidential nature of the information they will encounter. You will also contribute to the Personal Development programme across the College with a focus on equality, diversity and Inclusion.

What we are looking for: The successful candidate will have experience of working in an office environment and possess sound administrative skills. They will have knowledge and understanding of supporting students welfare and safeguarding needs, presenting a calm and welcoming approach as front line support.

The post holder will have the ability to undertake administrative duties efficiently, to work accurately and to prescribed deadlines. They will be a team player, possessing effective communication skills, both orally and written, in order to deal tactfully, sensitively and professionally with people at all levels.

What you will need: The successful candidate will have a high level of data inputting skills with a good knowledge of relevant software packages, and competency in Microsoft Office. The post-holder will be able to work unsupervised, use their own initiative and be comfortable with handling competing priorities.
