Residential Support Officer (Nights)
An opportunity has arisen for a Support Officer to work with residential students. The successful candidate will provide effective support to all residential students by helping to maintain a welcoming, healthy and safe College environment, by upholding College regulations and Codes of Practice. You will also provide a presence throughout the night whilst encouraging students to participate fully in all College activities. It is essential that you have GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C or above, or be willing to work towards within an agreed timescale. You will also have good communication and negotiation skills as well as empathy towards the needs of young people.
Hours are 4 nights on and 4 nights off, 8,45 pm to 8.45 am, during term time approx. 40 weeks per year, the remainder of the year hours will be reduced, dependent on College business. Works out at an average of 37 hours per week.
Salary: £16,960 - £20,657 per annum, dependant on qualifications and experience.
