Progress Coach -TTO - based at Preston (2 roles)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Progress Coach to be based at the Preston Campus.

As a Progress Coach you will help shape, develop and deliver pastoral support and tutorial programmes to ensure that every student is supported to be the best they can be.   You will bring enthusiasm and forward-thinking ideas to our existing team of student support, safeguarding and enrichment staff.

You will have the ability, confidence and experience of supporting young people as well as in the delivery of personal development themes and will inspire and motivate young people. You will hold a caseload of students and be responsible for the delivery of course tutorials, attendance and engagement monitoring, progress reviews ensuring that students set realistic and challenging targets and support positive behaviour modification strategies.

It is essential the successful candidate has substantial experience of working with young people and be able to understand their range of issues within an educational setting including a good understanding around pastoral support and safeguarding, as well experience of delivering personal development or curriculum activities within course tutorial sessions with young people. You must have the ability to work as part of a team alongside GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.

You may be expected to travel regularly to our other sites as part of your caseload to ensure outstanding and consistent provision is provided for all study programme students.

The role is 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Term Time Only. 

Salary: £18,015 - £19,240 per annum, rata relating to qualifications and experience
