Practical Lecturer in Arboriculture - Penrith based (3)
We are excited to see an opportunity to work with us to support and deliver the land-based curriculum in Cumbria, as part of the innovative and collaborative development in the land-based subject of Arboriculture, based in Penrith on the site of our partners, Ullswater Community College (UCC).
As a Practical Lecturer in Arboriculture you will deliver Arboriculture related subjects to students on Further Education programmes and where required external clients. This will be predominantly practical teaching but can also include classroom sessions
The successful candidate will have a Level 3 FE Arboriculture qualification and
NPTC qualifications in
- Chainsaw,
- Tree Climbing and Arial rescue
- Tree felling up to 380mm
Industry experience in relevant business sector, a Teaching qualification e.g. PGCE / Cert Ed or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification within agreed time period alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.

The salary range is £19,241 - £26,674 per annum relating to qualifications and experience
