We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Practical Lecturer and Workshop Technician to join the Agricultural Engineering department at Myerscough College.

As a Practical Lecturer and Workshop Technician in Agricultural Engineering you will be involved in teaching practical subjects as well as preparing and maintaining workshop resources, tractors and equipment to a high standard ensuring full compliance of health and safety requirements.

You will need a Level 3 FE qualification in a related subject and significant industry experience, a Teaching qualification e.g. PGCE / Cert Ed (or equivalent) is desirable or willing to work towards a teaching qualification within agreed time period, along with GCSE, (or equivalent), at Grade C /4 or above in English and Maths.

Non-teacher qualified applicants may be able to access an enhanced support package through the Taking Teaching Further scheme which includes a reduced timetable, work shadowing/ mentoring, and support with the costs of the teaching qualification.

The role is 37 hours per week and the salary range is £18,508 - £26,410 per annum - relating to qualifications and experience
