Payroll Officer – Maternity Cover - based at Preston Campus

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Team as a Payroll Officer – Maternity Cover.

As a Payroll Officer you will be responsible for processing the monthly payroll, inputting and updating all payroll data including starters, leavers, overtime, sickness, absence, SSP, SMP, SPP, pension, other statutory/non-statutory deductions and processing month/year end reports and returns whilst ensuring robust audit records are maintained.  You will ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.

The successful candidate will have 5 GCSEs to include English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience of payroll, and desirably a recognised payroll qualification and experience of working in a busy payroll section within the educational sector.

The salary is £18,758 – £26,674 per annum, pro rata, relating to qualifications and experience
