We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Lecturer in Basketball to join the Sport department at Myerscough College.

As a Lecturer in Basketball you will be involved as programme leader for L3 Basketball and deliver Basketball and Sport modules to students on courses in predominately Further Education programmes but may be required to deliver on both Further and Higher Education programmes should the need arise.

It is essential you have a Degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject or have significant industry experience. The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification e.g. PGCE / Cert Ed (or equivalent) or a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification within agreed time period.  You will also need GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent), at Grade C /4 or above. 

Non-teacher qualified applicants may be able to access an enhanced support package through the Taking Teaching Further scheme which includes a reduced timetable, work shadowing/ mentoring, and support with the costs of the teaching qualification.
