Instructor in Animal Studies 0.5 - based at the Preston Campus

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Animal Studies Team as an Instructor in Animal Studies.

As an Instructor in Animal Studies you will you will undertake practical delivery and assessment to enable learners to succeed, assess students practical skills and support and develop learners using College resources for work experience.  You will also promote and maintain high standards of care, health & welfare for all the animals in the Animal Studies Centre.

The successful candidate will have Level 3 (FE) Animal Management qualification, significant industrial experience in working with animal collections post-qualification is required, the Preparatory Certificate in Education and Training (formally PTTLS) or Assessor Training Quality Assurance (TAQA) or a willingness to undertake within an agreed time period is also essential for the role alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.

The role is 18.5 hours per week

The salary range is £16,960 to £20,657 pro-rata per annum, relating to qualifications and experience.
