Head of Apprenticeships and Skills (Maternity Cover) - based at Preston Campus

Recognised by Ofsted as a 'GOOD' college, this is an exciting opportunity to join one of the country’s best performing land-based colleges.  This is an interim position to cover maternity leave from 1 December 2020 to the end of August 2021.  As Head of Apprenticeships and Skills, you will lead a team of managers to proactively enhance this provision of the College, building on current success, increasing recruitment and delivering outstanding results.  A key focus of 2020/21 will be the quality of education building on the excellent work that has already taken place.

You will have experience in developing and overseeing the effective delivery of apprenticeship training and have a proven track record in demonstrating that each step of the learner journey is one of high quality.  You will also have sound knowledge of Full Cost Provision and AEB delivery.  You must have thorough knowledge of ESFA funding, audit requirements as well as a clear understanding of the new apprenticeship standards.  Under the leadership of the Assistant Principal Apprenticeships and Skills, you will be skilled in managing staff and working with other key stakeholders to achieve the department’s contractual, financial and other key performance indicators.

The salary range is £34,264-£45,995 per annum, relating to qualifications and experience.
