Farriery Placement Officer - based at Preston

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Veterinary Nursing and Farriery Team as a Farriery Placement Officer.

In this role of Farriery Placement Officer you will be responsible for the organisation and undertaking of work place visits to apprentice farriers between their college blocks. You will also work with employers, apprentices and college tutors to develop / enhance learner progression, which may involve hands on practical demonstration and reinforcement of theoretical course content.

It is essential the successful candidate has GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent standard), a Teaching qualification e.g. PET / PGCE / Cert Ed or equivalent or willing to undertake within agreed time period (A) and is a Qualified Farrier on the FRC register (A).

The role is 37 hours per week, part time hours will be considered

The salary is £26,675 - £31,379 per annum, pro rata relating to qualifications and experience.
