Farm Research Technician- Fixed term -based at Myerscough Farms, Preston
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Myerscough Farms Team as a Farm Research Technician.
In this role you will be responsible for aiding in the day to day running of farm research activities. You will create and maintain spreadsheets and other data capture mechanisms, collecting data and monitoring the farm systems such as Growsafe, Afi-milk, weigh cells, animal performance and Farmplan in conjunction with farm secretary and other staff. There will also be practical work involved on the farm to help set up and manage trial work with animals and machinery as necessary.
It is essential the successful candidate has GCSE English at Grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent standard) as well as an Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in relevant science discipline – if you are interested please apply.

The role is 37 hours per week on a fixed term basis for 18 months.
The salary range is £19,241 to £23,201 per annum, pro rata, relating to qualifications and experience.
