Digital Skills Developer -fixed term until 31 March 2022 - based at Preston Campus (1)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Apprenticeship & Skills Team as a Digital Skills Developer as part of the Skills Accelerator Project to support Lancashire SMEs (Farmers and Growers) to identify and engage with the low/ net zero carbon agenda.

In this role as the Digital Skills Developer will be responsible for designing and developing a digital platform to enable the sharing of the project results and data with farmer and stakeholders in Lancashire. This digital platform will specifically share the results of carbon audits from 10 farms distributed across Lancashire.

Training on the principals of carbon management will be provided where required.

This post will be subject to DFE Grant Approval.

The successful candidate will have a Experience of Digital Skills Development, Evidence of innovation, enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment to supporting students to overcome barriers to progression and success, Familiarity with using Microsoft applications and the ability to coach and mentor students to achieve the best they can be alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and desirably Maths .

The role is 37 hours per week fixed term until 31.03.2022

The salary is £28,615 per annum, pro rata.
