An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Careers and Work Placements Team

as a Careers Co-ordinator.

The post covers the co-ordination, delivery, and promotion of our Careers Programme, encompassing the My Future / Careers information, advice, and guidance on a range of key areas of cross college activity.

The job will include working with individuals and groups of staff and students, ensuring that they all receive appropriate support and guidance on a range of topics including as examples, Higher Education, UCAS applications, employability skills development and careers advice. The ability to offer advice and support; developing links and promoting the College to a growing number of external organisations are essential whilst working positively and enthusiastically with College staff and learners on the growing Careers and IAG frameworks, with a key focus on Gatsby, CDI framework and the overall Careers Strategy.

The purposes of the post are to co-ordinate, deliver and promote Careers, information, Advice and Guidance, and to deliver high quality services to students and staff and provide information, advice and guidance on key development and support areas. 

The successful candidate will have experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel, Office 365, educated to Further or Higher education standard, a qualification and experience in Careers guidance at Level 4 and be willing to work towards upskilling to Level 6 on starting the job alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.

The role is 37 hours per week.

The salary range is £20,907 - £30,179 per annum, relating to qualifications and experience.
