Assistant Principal Higher Education (HE)- based at Preston Campus
Following the retirement of the present postholder, a unique opportunity has arisen to continue the organisations well developed Higher Education journey and join the Myerscough College & University Centre Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Principal for Higher Education
This is an exciting and opportunistic time to join the College following the recent approval of our ambitious strategic plan 2020-2025. This role provides the opportunity to develop new curriculum, business and partnerships that will have a tangible, long lasting and purposeful impact.
You will lead and further develop the College’s University Centre provision whilst directing the implementation of rigorous quality assurance processes and will be responsible for supporting the continuity and ongoing development of an outstanding student experience, collaborating internally and externally to ensure this.
The role of Assistant Principal will drive further growth for our already strong and successful TEF Gold Higher Education provision. The post and its responsibilities require ambition, strategic vision, excellent leadership skills, a deep understanding, familiarity and command of the HE environment, strong business acumen and a passion for the invaluable role of Higher Education in Further Education.
This exciting role offers wide scope for maximising the excellent work of the College locally, regionally and nationally, providing the successful applicant with the opportunity to use their wealth of experience to support the Myerscough College & University Centre mission of ‘Inspiring Excellence’.
The successful candidate will have a Degree or a Level 6 Qualification, a Teaching qualification e.g. PGCE / Cert Ed, Management, leadership or coaching qualification or a willingness to achieve within a given timescale and a High level of digital literacy and competent in using a range of Microsoft products alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.

The role is 37 hours per week.
The salary range is £41,194 - £55,314 dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.
