Assistant Head of Greenspace - based at Preston Campus

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join for a dynamic and imaginative Assistant Head of Area in Greenspace provision.

The post holder will report to the Head of Greenspace and Creative design forming part of the management team, which aims to maximise success and ensure an effective contribution to strategic plan targets

Work closely with the Further Education tutors to promote a positive team spirit within the Greenspace and Creative design team and an inspirational teaching, learning and assessment experience for all learners. Provide leadership and co-ordination for nominated Greenspace and Creative design programmes ensuring accurate information, advice and guidance to support learners onto the right learning programme to meet their aspiration and capability

Ensure high quality delivery striving for excellence by managing course recruitment, retention and success in a supportive manner with the curriculum team.Ensure that summative and formative assessment information is distributed and used fully and purposefully to support personal learning and is applied by all teaching team members to ensure accurate individual learning plans and delivery.

Promote excellence in teaching and learning and active participation in scholarship and research

The successful candidate will have a Degree in a related subject, a Teaching qualification e.g. PGCE / Cert Ed, experience in Greenspace industries and experience in the Further and Higher Educational sector alongside GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths. The salary range is £27,846 - £35,640 per annum relating to qualifications and experience
