Apprenticeship & Skills - Progress Coach 0.6 - Fixed term - based at Preston Campus

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Apprenticeship & Skills Team as a Progress Coach.
As a Progress Coach you will help deliver the ESF Project (LEAP) ‘The Lancashire Engaging Apprenticeship Programme’.
In this role you will contribute to the planning and delivery of key aspects of the Personal Development Programme and support for apprentices and pre-apprentices. Setting high standards and expectations for the programme to support and achieve outstanding provision to further advance apprentices’ personal development, behaviour and attitudes to each other, learning and work.
The Apprenticeship Progress Coach will proactively engage with employers to support progression within the workplace and develop programmes to support this.
It is essential the successful candidate has substantial experience of working with young people and be able to understand their range of issues within an educational setting including a good understanding around pastoral support and safeguarding, as well experience of delivering personal development or curriculum activities within course tutorial sessions with young people. You must have the ability to work as part of a team alongside GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent.

The role is 22.2 hours per week on a Fixed term basis until 31 December 2023
Salary: £18,015 - £19,240 per annum, pro rata in accordance with qualifications and experience
