This is a special event at University Centre Myerscough. ONLY attend if you have applied or are hoping to apply for one of our Foundation Degrees or Honours Degrees.

We are very pleased to be able to invite you to join us for our HE applicant day at University Centre Myerscough. The day is your day; it is your chance to find out all about the College, staff, facilities and the courses. We would encourage you to make the most of the day by asking as many questions as you can and joining in with all activities.

Part of the experience will involve tours of practical facilities, so please come with warm clothing, a weatherproof coat and sturdy footwear.

Arrival and refreshments

Please report to the College’s Main Reception where you will be directed to the HE building.


Welcome talk

An introduction to the day and arrangements by the HE Assistant Principal.


Welcome and overview of your curriculum area programme

Introductions by the staff team in your chosen area and a rundown of activities planned for the day.



Tour of the facilities and activity session

A chance to look round the campus and your chosen area along with a practical activity and demonstration by current students.




Lunch – (Please bring your own or free lunch will be provided in the HE Centre)

This is a chance for you to talk to staff and current students and ask any generic questions you have about the course or studying at Myerscough.



Current student research and reflection of the day

Hear from some of our current students about their research projects. There will also be time for you to evaluate the day and provide feedback.



Q&A with Student Service’s

Opportunity to ask any questions about finance, accommodation or learning support from the specialist teams.



Accommodation Tour

Optional - Another chance to have a look at residential accommodation for those who are interested.

Guests are welcome to attend but may not be able not able to attend all sessions. During any "applicant only" sessions, guests will be presented with the opportunity to explore the public areas of the campus.
