Halls of Residence
At Myerscough we have exceptional full-board and self-catering accommodation for more than 650 students, in 28 different Halls of Residence. There is a good mix of single and twin rooms with shared common room, kitchen and bathroom facilities, plus a range of self-catering en-suite accommodation.
Priority for accommodation is normally given to students living outside of a 15 mile radius from College. (If you live in the North West don’t forget that the College provides a direct daily bus service from many towns in Lancashire.) Car parking is available in the student accommodation village for those resident on campus.
Myerscough prides itself on being a safe and friendly campus. Resident wardens are always on hand to assist with the well-being and safety of students, while CCTV cameras and a night-time security team provide additional reassurance. All our accommodation is non-smoking. The majority of accommodation also has access to either wireless or cabled networked internet access. The cost of this is included in your residential contract.
Residential fees for Higher Education students range from £3885 for a single en-suite room on a self catering basis to £5809 for a single en-suite room with full-board catering – both on 36 week contracts.
Residential fees for Further Education students start from £3922 for a twin room with shared bathroom and a five-day meal allowance.
For further information, please download our ‘Living in Halls of Residence’ leaflet.
Privately Owned Accomodation
For students choosing to live off-campus, our Residential Services office holds a list of private landlords who offer local accommodation. It should be noted that this accommodation is not vetted by the College.
There’s a wide choice of cafés and restaurants on site, including the main Richmond's Restaurant and dining room, the Sandwich Bar, the Garden Café at Plant World and the Equine Café in the International Arena. If you need to do any shopping, there’s a well-stocked mini market for snacks, fresh, chilled and frozen food as well as stationery, toiletries, confectionery and drinks. Vending machines, a cash machine and laundry facilities are all available on site.
Payment must be made or an instalment plan in place, for residency costs, prior to moving into accommodation. Instalment plans will incur an administration charge which is payable with the 1st instalment.
All students are asked to pay a £200 room deposit on application for the room which is refunded at the end of the year less £25 PAT testing and costs for any damages (this may include shared costs).
Financial support is available for students who have a low household income through the Myerscough College Bursary Fund. Details can be found under FE or HE Fees and Finance pages.
