Learners who will still be of school age at the start of their programme are also required to complete the Application Form Part B before their application will be processed.
Learning and assessment
English and maths qualifications will usually be assessed through a series of final exams. Employability skills units are continually assessed. There are no employability exams. Work placements are monitored by College staff and checked through regular review meetings.
Learners may move into a traineeship, apprenticeship or full time post 16 education, or into a job with training.
The Moving on Project aims to support learners in moving onto courses and onto careers most suitable for them.
Moving On is a significant European Social Funded project that is being delivered by the Lancashire Skills and Employment Executive Partnership (LESEP), a consortium of local colleges and training providers, with a number of additional delivery partners.
The programme aims to support the Government’s ambition to increase the number of Apprenticeship starts to three million by 2020.
The course is fully funded for appropriate learners.
Work experience is available for suitable candidates but is not a mandatory part of the course.
