Myerscough College hosts and attends numerous events throughout the country. These include our popular Advice Sessions as well as many other careers events, trade fairs and education conventions. These provide a great opportunity to speak to tutors about life at Myerscough and learn more about the wide range of courses on offer. Here is a list of the events that we will be hosting or attending during the next few months!

Cricket Studies Course Advice Evening at LCCC

Myerscough College Open Day and Country Fair 2016

Sunday 12 June , 10:00am - 5:00pm , Myerscough College Preston Centre, St Michaels Road, Bilsborrow, Lancs PR3 0RY. This year’s Myerscough College Open Day and Country Fair is set to be one of the most eventful yet with a whole range of exhibitors providing fun for all the family. This popular event takes place at the main campus on Sunday 12th June and features a superb range of displays, shows and interactive activities from all our subject areas as well as superb catering and live music all day long. The day is also a great opportunity for prospective students to see our beautiful campus at its best and find out more about what Myerscough has to offer and the future careers available. Highlights of the day will include a fantastic range of Equestrian Arena Shows and Demonstrations. Additionally, animal enthusiasts will enjoy touring the Animal Academy and veterinary nursing facilities. Agriculture and countryside attractions include off-road land rover rides and a dedicated countryside arena and conservation zone. There will also be motorsport and machinery displays along with photography and floral Design Exhibitions. Also returning is the ‘Made in Lancashire’ Food Fayre which will be displaying local produce for people to purchase, sample and eat. Children are likely to be kept busy with a wide variety of sports games and activities, while many people will find great delight in exploring our superb landscaped gardens. Attractions include:

  • 'The Sheep Show' and Falconry Demonstration

Tickets cost £16 per family in advance online (bookable below until midnight 11th June). On the gate prices £20 family, £10 adults, £5 children (6-15) Children under 5 FREE. Disabled parking is available and dogs are welcome on a lead.

Course Advice Morning - Preston Centre

Saturday 25 June , 9:45am - 12:30pm , Location: Myerscough College Main Centre. Come along and meet the staff, tour the campus and find out more about the College and our courses. Please aim to arrive for one of our three welcome and introductory talks (focusing on student life at Myerscough.) The first talk starts at 10.00am and is then repeated at 10.30am and again at 11.00am. Each of these is then followed by individual subject talks, ‘question and answer’ sessions and often departmental tours, with staff from each of our departments. These focus on the courses, facilities and careers progression within that subject area. A general Campus tour will go round at 11.40am and support staff from our Admissions, Finance, Accommodation, Apprenticeships and Inclusive Learning teams will be available throughout the morning. ..more
