The course will develop your skills in floral design whilst encouraging individual creative development. It will enable you to create your full potential as a floral artist. You will study a range of modules including an Honours dissertation and a student initiated project (which is incorporated into the Floral Art and the Personal Planning and Career Development modules). Additional modules cover the strategic management of a business and the establishment of client contracts. There is also a focused study of modern floral art design trends and international developments and styling.

Successful applicants would normally possess:

Transferable/Key Skills may be used to contribute to the entry requirement but they are not sufficient for entry on their own. Career experience plus evidence of study skills may also be considered. Consideration will be given to non-traditional qualifications such as NDSF or ICSF and relevant work experience within a relevant design or management industry. Applicants are encouraged to produce evidence of their potential to benefit from the course. It is recommended that a portfolio of work be presented at the interview to support the application where available.
